Hello! I'm Amani.

I'm a Palestinian-American designer, artist, illustrator and yogi.
I'm currently a graphic designer and creative strategist in Amman, Jordan. With over 5 years of experience, my work as a designer spans branding & visual identity design, layout and information design, infographics, advertising, and social media. When I'm not designing, I'm creating artwork and illustrations inspired by my love of all things nature, color and texture. I love infusing these elements into my work to explore ordinary life, memories and nostalgia, and the intersection of culture, heritage and nature.
Graphic Design
I began my career in advertising after graduating with a bachelor's degree in graphic design. I joined Leo Burnett in Jordan, where I was able to immerse myself in the advertising industry and gain a wealth of creative experience. I paired my artistic passion with design expertise as I worked on a vast array of brands and campaigns. As the world began to change during the pandemic, like many people across the globe, I started to look deeper into what I was really passionate about. The answer for me is always art.
Creating Fann wa Ard
In 2021 I started a personal initiative called Fann wa Ard.
Taken from the Arabic words "fann" or art, and "ard" meaning earth, ground or land, the name is a connection to my Palestinian heritage. This space was an outlet for my artwork to guide and ground me during that period of uncertainty. It was also a celebration of nature, land, culture, and existence through art.
I began to explore the world of illustration and fell in love with the creative flexibility and freedom to communicate ideas and stories. It brought me the perfect balance between art and design, where I could combine digital and traditional techniques to create my artwork.
